Course Objective

This prestigious programme from IIM Rohtak has been designed with a specific purpose to identify, nurture and support budding young entrepreneurs across the country realize their dreams. The programme imparts essential knowledge of how to start one’s own business venture and the various facets that influence successful set up and operations. Industry experts and present day entrepreneurs share their experiences to provide the much needed practical insights and the programme concludes with individual mentoring sessions scheduled for participants where budding entrepreneurs who have developed a business plan as a part of the programme get an opportunity to be guided by the professionals in the Investor Community on their business idea.

The classes for this programme will be held through LIVE lectures that will be beamed online via internet to student desktops/laptops or classrooms using Talentedge’s Direct To Device platform. The pedagogy will comprise of lectures and case discussions imparted by IIM Rohtak’s faculty. The programme will also include guest lectures by members from the Investor community as well as Entrepreneurs to provide practical insights. 
All participants will also be granted 24X7 access to Talentedge’s Cloud Campus comprising of learning aids, study materials, reference materials, assessments, case studies and assignments etc. as per the requirement of the programme. Students can chat real time with the professors during the live class and also post all other programme related queries offline on the Cloud Campus. 
A minimum of 70% attendance to the LIVE lectures is a prerequisite for the successful completion of this programme. There may be periodic evaluations built in throughout the duration of the course. These may be in the form of a quiz, assignment or other objective/subjective assessments as relevant and applicable to the programme and are designed to ensure continuous student engagement with the course and encourage learning. While the results/feedback on such assignments will be provided, no consolidated mark or grade sheets shall be distributed to the Participants at the end of the course.


On the payment of all due fees and the successful completion of the Executive Programme in Entrepreneurship, participants will be awarded a certificate of participation issued by IIM Rohtak.

Dr. Rajat Agrawal
   Dr. Rojers P Joseph 
   Ph.D (IIT Bombay)                                                                   


Dr. Rojers P Joseph is a faculty in the Strategic Management Area at Indian Institute of Management Rohtak. He has 13 years of professional experience, 12 years in academics and 1 year in industry. He obtained his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. He teaches courses such as International Business, Corporate Governance, Strategic Management, Strategy Implementation and Models & Frameworks of Strategic Analysis in the Postgraduate/FPM Programmes. His research interests include strategy and IPR, business models in a digital/knowledge economy, and internationalization strategies of emerging market multinationals. He has conducted management development programmes for participants from several private and public sector organizations.

Dr. Rojers has published his research in conferences and journals of international repute. He has published in journals such as The Empirical Economics Letters, First Monday and Publishing Research Quarterly. His research articles have been accepted by PICMET, ICOM and Pan IIM conferences. His case studies have appeared in outlets such as Ivey and Emerald. One of his case studies is also listed by Harvard Business Publishing.

Dr. Venkatesha Murthy is a faculty in the area of Business Environment at IIM Rohtak. He holds doctoral degree in the area of Social Sciences from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Mumbai. Before joining IIM Rohtak, he was working as a faculty at Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development (SCMHRD), Pune. At SCMHRD, Venkatesh had taught courses titled as “cultural diversity”, “socio-cultural environment of business”, “Social Entrepreneurship”, “Corporate governance, Ethics and CSR”. During his Ph.D days at TISS, Venkatesh actively participated in action projects related to domestic workers and Shipping Corporation of India sponsored CSR projects.  His teaching areas include Socio-Economic transformation of India, Social Entrepreneurship, philosophy of management, and Cultural Diversity. His research interests include Small family Business, Social Entrepreneurship, Interrelatedness between economic and social constructs. Dr. Venkatesh has published research papers in the areas of his expertise. He has presented paper/cases in various conferences.

Ms. Anuradha Acharya is the CEO of Mapmygenome, an Indian Genomics company whose vision is “Better Health for India using technology”.  Mapmygenome provides a range of prognostics, diagnostics and brain wellness solutions. In 2000, Anu co-founded Ocimum Biosolutions, a global genomics outsourcing partner for discovery, development and diagnostics, a company that began as a pure Bioinformatics company. Since founding the company in 2000, she has led the company through three strategic international acquisitions, two capital raises for equity investments and launch of several innovative products, solutions and services through its proprietary platform called RaaS (Research as a Service).
She was named a “Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum for its class of 2011.  The British High Commission also named her part of the “Young Leaders Forum” in 2013. She has been named Biospectrum “Entrepreneur of the Year” and has also made it to Red Herring Magazine’s to the list of “25 Tech Titans under 35″.



Anuradha Acharya

Vivek Gour began his career in 1985. In 2010, after 25 years of remarkable professional journey, Vivek retired as CFO of Genpact Limited and embarked on his entrepreneurial journey with Air Works. In spite of not having any aviation background, Vivek, who came in as an investor as well as the managing director of Air Works and completed its transition to a professionally-run company on his watch. Under his able leadership, the top line of the organization has grown from about Rs.20 crore in FY07, when it was a family-run outfit, to over Rs.500 crore in FY14. Vivek holds an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi, and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Sydenham College, University of Bombay.



Ajai Chowdhry

Back in 1975, Mr. Ajai Chowdhry, along with 6 others including Shiv Nadar, left DCM Data Products to start a small marketing company with around Rs.1.8 lakh. At the time the UP Government granted them a license for designing and manufacturing computers which is how Hindustan Computers Ltd (HCL) was born in 1976. The sheer clarity of vision and hard work led to a revolution and laid the foundation for the Indian IT industry, taking India to the league of major economies of the world. Even after the listing of HCL Technologies in 2000, Ajai continued to run HCL Infosystems. In the ensuing 5 years, with serious focus on the telecom business the revenue of HCL Infosystems grew from Rs.50-100 Cr. to almost Rs.8000 Cr.  Ajai stepped down from his position at HCL in the year 2010. 
Ajai is now a part of the Indian Angel Network and is actively involved in its incubation board. He has also invested individually in start-ups, some of which he also mentors and supports from the outside.
